The Story of Belle

The kitty without a tail.

Ms Belle has been here at the Catfe since January of 2024. After reviewing her paperwork, we noticed she bounced around from the Grand Prairie Animal Shelter to the Arlington Animal Shelter, and then they placed her at a local Petsmart to better her odds of being adopted. It worked! We found her!

This Beautiful girl is 8 years young! If you notice, there is something missing….her tail! This sweet girl was an owner surrender, the paperwork indicates she is a Japanese Bobtail, we have also had some guests refer to her as a Manx. Either way she is just lovely, she loves to be loved on and can even be a bit of a lap cat! We have experienced her giving a slight attitude when you decide you cannot sit all day with her on your lap. Being an older kitty, she loves quiet, cozy spots. She is not a fan of other kitties; she prefers to be the only kitty where she can be the center of attention.

As you are aware, kittens get adopted pretty quickly at shelters, but a kitty this age …may not have made it out. This is our whole mission, to save kitties from the shelter to give them a 2^nd chance to find their FUREVER home in a cage-less environment. Here you can learn about their purr-sonality before taking them home. The Cozy Catfe does not have a timeframe when kitties need to find their homes, they can stay here as long as it takes for their families to find them! We are so lucky we were able to save Belle, who knows what may have happened if we did not take her and if she went back to the shelter!
