The Cozy Catfe's Fundraising effort to save kitties from shelters
The biggest event of the year for The Cozy Catfe is Catapalooza!
We have found out after being open for almost 3 years, we are still learning that so many people don’t know about us, so we do a fundraising event called Catapalooza to draw people into the area and learn about our mission. Saving cats from shelters!!
This event takes about 3-4 months to plan out, keep in mind we are very much a volunteer-based company, which means we have amazing volunteers, musicians, and food trucks volunteer their time to us to make this event paw-some! We had over 35+ small craft fair vendors set up and sell their unique items. Catapalooza is on shop small business Saturday in hopes everyone has a successful day! We can honestly say we had an amazing day!!
We had vendors selling everything from sweet treats, 3D printed items, candles, face painting, art work, books and of course kitty related merchandise! We had two cat themed companies sponsor us, Thank You Katnyx and The Scratching Post Inn!
Our food trucks did pretty well, we heard quite a few compliments from guests and volunteers and noticed some of our neighboring businesses came to check it out as well. We had some amazing bands, such as Mid City Gamblers, Retro Collective and Texas Brew that entertained the guests, we are beyond thankful for y’all!! We hope that maybe a band scout may have stopped by and shopped, you never know!!
We had 5 raffle baskets, most of the items were donated by small local businesses. We can truly say that we had a successful day, and we hope all of our vendors, food trucks and musicians had a blast too! We are very grateful for everyone that came out to visit, guests, craft fair vendors, musicians, food truck staff, and of course our team of volunteers that help make a dream a reality!!!
